Homemade Hing Jeera Aloo Recipe

Ingredients :
3 medium size boiled potatoes
1/4 tsp asefodita/ hing
1 tsp jeera/cumin seeds
1/2 tsp chilli powder
salt as per taste
1/2 tbsp lemon juice
some chopped coriander leaves
1/2 tbsp chopped coriander stems
2-3 tbsp ghee
Method:
Take some water in a pressure cooker and place the potatoes in it . Close the lid and boil upto 2 whistles or till the potatoes are 90% boiled.
When the pressure is released open the cooker and remove the potatoes. Allow it to cool.If the potatoes are too soft keep it in the fridge for some time.
Peel them and cut into big pieces/cubes.
Heat ghee in a kadai then add the jeera when it splutters add the asefodita and coriander stems. Saute for a second then add the chopped potatoes and let it cook on low flame till slightly brown in colour. Give it a toss at intervals or stir lightly with a spoon.
Add and mix the chilli powder , lemon juice and salt in the potatoes.
Remove in a serving bowl and garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.
Serve and enjoy with puris, chapati or parathas.
