Homemade Cucumber Tambuli Recipe

Course : Side Dish

Servings: 3 pax

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time : 0 minutes

Total Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup curds/yogurt

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 no cucumber

  • 3 nos whole pepper

  • 1/2 tsp jeera /cumin seeds

  • 1 no small green chilli

  • 1/2 inch ginger

  • 2 tbsp fresh coconut

  • 1/4 cup coriander leaves

  • salt as per taste

Ingredients For Tadka:

  • 1/2 tsp ghee

  • 1/2 tsp jeera/cumin seeds

  • 1 no whole red chilli

  • 1 string curry leaves

Method:

  1. Wash, peel and chop the cucumber into small cubes.

  2. In a grinder jar add the chopped cucumber, chilli, ginger, coriander leaves , coconut and jeera. Grind into a fine paste. Remove and keep aside.

  3. In a bowl add the curds , salt and 1 cup water and whisk into a smooth paste.

  4. Add the cucumber paste in the whisked curds .

  5. In a pan heat the ghee then add the jeera when it splutters add the curry leaves and whole red chilli.

  6. Pour it into the Tambuli .

  7. Refrigerate it then pour into glasses.

Enjoy it chilled on its own as a drink.
