Homemade Mooli /Radish Chutney Recipe

Course : Side Dish

Cuisine: Indian

Servings: 5-6 pax

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time : 5 minutes

Total Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 no big mooli/ radish

  • 2 nos tomatoes

  • 2-3 nos green chillies chopped into big pieces

  • 2-3 nos garlic pods or 1 tsp crushed garlic

  • 1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves

  • 2 tbsp mustard oil

  • 1/2 lemon juice

  • 1 tsp red chilli powder

  • 1 tsp chaat masala

  • 1 tsp roasted pomegranate powder ( optional)

  • salt as p ear taste

Method:

  1. Peel, wash dry pat and grate the mooli . Keep it aside for 5 minutes then squeeze out all the water from the grated mooli.

  2. Wash and cut the tomatoes into half.

  3. In a non stick pan heat 2 tbsp mustard oil then place the tomatoes and chopped green chillies on it.

  4. Cook on low flame covering the pan for 3-4 minutes till the tomatoes are soft or the peel/skin comes off.

  5. When the tomatoes are cooled remove the peel/skin from them and keep aside.

  6. In a mortar place the tomatoes, green chillies, garlic and with a pestle grind it into a fine paste then add the grated mooli, all the spices, salt and chopped coriander leaves and again grind.

  7. Remove in a serving bowl and garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.

Enjoy this spicy mooli chutney as a side dish with your meals.
