Homemade Poha and Sooji Sandwich Recipe

Homemade Poha and Sooji Sandwich Recipe

Course : Snack

Cuisine: Indian

Servings: 8 nos

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time : 25 minutes

Total Time: 35 minutes

Ingredients:

For Batter :

  • 2 cups poha

  • 1 cup sooji

  • 1 cup curds/yogurt

  • 1.5 cups water

  • salt as per taste

For Masala:

  • 1 no big finely chopped onion

  • 1 no big deseed tomato finely chopped

  • 1 no small green capsicum finely chopped

  • 3-4 nos green chillies finely chopped

  • some coriander leaves finely chopped

  • 1 tsp pepper

  • 1/2 tbsp chilli flakes

  • 1/2 tbsp chaat masala

  • 1 tsp ENO

  • salt as per taste

Method:

  1. Clean and wash the poha properly in a sieve.

  2. In a grinder add all the poha, sooji, curds, salt and water to form a fine paste.

  3. Remove in a bowl and allow it to rest for 5-10 minutes.

  4. Add all the chopped veggies, spices, ENO and salt to the batter and give it a good mix.

  5. Take a hand sandwich maker and pour one to two big ladle of the mixture in it then close and put on the flame. Cook on low flame till it is golden brown on both sides.

  6. Remove onto a plate.

  7. Repeat the process till all the mixture/ batter is used up.

Serve these healthy no bread sandwiches for your breakfast or evening snack.
