Homemade Raw Banana Curry Recipe

Ingredients For Masala:
2 nos onions sliced
3-4 garlic pods sliced
1-2 strings curry leaves chopped
2 nos green chillies chopped
1 tsp jeera/cumin seeds
1 tsp whole coriander seeds
Ingredients For Curry:
6 nos small raw bananas
1/2 cup maggi coconut milk powder
1-2 strings curry leaves
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp chilli powder
salt as per taste
some chopped coriander leaves
Method:
Wash the bananas properly then place them in a pressure cooker with some water and cook them up to 3 whistles.
Open the cooker once the pressure is released then remove the bananas and allow them to cool.
Once the bananas are cooled peel them and cut into half inch round pieces. Keep aside for future use.
In a pan heat 1 tbsp oil then add the sliced onions and cook them till pinkish in colour to it add the green chilli, garlic, jeera, curry leaves and coriander seeds. Saute them for a second. When the mixture is cooled add the masala in a grinder jar and grind into a fine paste.
In a kadia or heavy based vessel heat 2 tbsp oil to it add the mustard seeds when it splutters add the turmeric powder, curry leaves and the onion paste .Cook them till till oil is seen on the sides of the vessel.
Add the chopped banana pieces , red chilli powder and salt to the masala and saute on low flame for a minute.
In a small bowl make a paste of the coconut milk powder by adding some water.
Add the coconut milk to the bananas and then cook for another 2-3 minutes.
Remove in a serving bowl and garnish with some chopped coriander leaves.
Enjoy this yummy and creamy banana curry with white rice or chapati.
