Homemade Sev Barfi Recipe

Ingredients:
2 cup full fat milk
1/2 cup sugar
2 cups unsalted sev
1 cup milk powder or 200 gms mawa
1 tsp cardamom powder
1/2 tsp kewra essence ( optional)
2 tbsp ghee
2 tbsp chopped almond & pistachio
Method :
In a heavy based vessel or kadai boil the milk and sugar on low flame for 5 minutes till the sugar dissolves completely and the milk is transulent.
Add milk powder, cardamon powder, kewra essence and sev. Cook on low flame stirring continuously then add the ghee and cook again till the mixture leaves the sides and forms a soft dough.
Remove and transfer the mixture onto a greased plate or baking tray. Level it with the back of the spoon.
Sprinkle the chopped nuts all over the mixture and lightly press it with the back of a spoon.
Allow it to set for an hour at room temperature.
Cut into long or square pieces.
