Homemade Akki Roti Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup rice ( chawal ) flour
1 cup water
1 no finely chopped green chilli
some finely chopped coriander leaves
1 tbsp oil
1/2 tbsp chilli flakes
salt as per taste
Method:
Sieve the rice flour and keep aside.
In a vessel boil 1 cup water. Add the chilli flakes, salt, oil, chopped green chilli and half the coriander leaves in it. Slowly add the rice flour in the water and switch off the gas. Mix it with a spoon then cover and keep it for 2-3 minutes.
Remove the mixture on to a plate and allow it to cool. When warm enough to mix, add the remaining coriander leaves in it and knead the mixture to form a smooth and soft dough.
Make equal size balls of the entire dough.
Take one dough ball dust with some rice or wheat flour and roll into a medium thickness round disc.
Heat a tawa and place the rolled roti on it. Cook for a few seconds then flip again cook for a couple of seconds till light brown spots are seen below. Lightly press, flip and cook again. Remove on a plate and grease with some ghee.
Repeat the process till all the dough balls are used up.
