Homemade Onion Bhaji Recipe

Ingredients:
3 nos medium onions
2 nos green chillies chopped finely
2 tbsp chopped coriander leaves
4 tbsp besan/ gramflour
1 tbsp rice flour
1/4 tsp asefodita
1/4 tsp ajwain/ carrom seeds
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp kasuri methi / dried fenugreek leaves
salt as per taste
oil for frying
Method:
Peel, wash and chop the onions finely into thin and long julienne.
Add and mix all the spices, salt, green chillies, coriander leaves and kasuri methi in the chopped onions. Allow it to rest for 5 minutes.
After the rest time add the besan and rice flour to the onions and mix well. If the batter is too dry 1-2 tsp water can be added to it.
Heat oil then drop the onion julienne one by one in the hot oil. Cook on medium to low flame till golden brown on both sides.
Remove on kitchen towel and repeat the process till all the batter is used up.
In the same oil you can fry green chillies just for half a second. Remove and serve with the bhaji.
Serve these yummy and tasty onion bhaji with fried green chillies and chutney.
